Does it cost alot to begin body building?

ryan-Q&A

If you are planning to compete in body building then personally I would say yes. You have to consider the amount of money you need to spend on food, supplements, a trainer, physio if you ever pulled something, tanning etc etc. All this adds up in the end. If your just doing it for yourself then no. Just join a gym eat, sleep and train hard.

I hope I answered your question.

"I understand you have scoliosis. I have thorasic scoliosis with approx 70 degree curve. Does this mean competitive bodybuilding is out of the question for me? I already work out regularly and employ a personal trainer with a rehab background. Any tips on working with this extra challenge? I am in my early 40's."

"Hi P. B, Sorry for the late reply I just came back from Italy. I was training one of my Pro Hockey Players. As for your question. I don't know where you live but you should check with the federation that you wish to join and see if they have a Disability category. That was the category I first started with. After that I moved on to the regular class division. The Bantam Weight division. 145 pounds and under.
When I won the Bantam weight division it was honestly a total shock. In order for me to win I had to look so much better than everyone else that my disabilities were insignificant. I had surpassed all the other competitors by far. So if you wish to go this road be prepared for a lot of frustration if your goal is to win. It will be hard because your disability will make the judging difficult.
Personal I think if you are prepared to train hard then I think you should go for it. Try your best and see what happens. I proved to everyone that anything is possible as long as one works hard, is dedicated and driven. In the end I became the 2004 Musclemania World Bantam Weight Champion.

I wish you all the best!"

"What do you recommend to lose weight without going to a gym?"
ryan-Q&A

"I always preach the same thing. Taking care of your body is like a recipe. You need to train, eat well "diet" and do some sort of cardio.

You can try to just diet and do cardio but your results may vary and might be slow in seeing results."

"Is there anyone who could help me to train without paying?"
ryan-Q&A
"You should try calling different gyms in your area and ask them if they charge for programs. But personally I always tell everyone "You pay for what u get."

If u get a free program (and one that's not from a personal friend who happens to be a trainer) the quality may not be good and you won't get the results you want.

But if you find a good qualified trainer (ask around in your local gym...it's better to ask memeber's who they think is a good trainer) they could work out something with you to get you towards your fitness goals."
